▪ Animal and clinical studies
Studies using laboratory animals must state in the "Methods" section that the research was conducted in accordance with internationally accepted principles for the use and care of laboratory animals (European Community guidelines : EEC Directive 86/609/EEC of 1986 or US guidelines: NIH Publication No. 85-23, revised in 1985). Research involving human subjects must state in the Methods section that the research followed the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki and the Tokyo Declaration for humans, that it was approved by the institutional human experimentation committee or equivalent, and that informed consent was obtained. Editors will reject articles if there is any doubt about the appropriateness of the animal or human procedures used.

▪ General review
After submission, the manuscript undergoes a general review process regarding format and plagiarism. If a manuscript is accepted for review, it proceeds to the peer review process.
▪ Evaluation report
Once the review process is complete, the editor-in-chief collects the reviewers' reports and decides whether to accept or reject the manuscript based on their comments . Finally, the letter of acceptance, rejection, or revision is sent to the author.
▪ Revised version of the manuscript
In the event of a revision, the manuscript is again submitted to the same peer review process (if necessary).
▪ Layout and proofreading
The author is asked to format the manuscript according to the template provided by the Congolese Journal of Science and Technology in its author guide. The manuscript is then submitted to the editor for typesetting and proofreading. The journal will send the text to the author in PDF format before it is published online. In case of an error in the published text, the author is responsible for notifying the editor or publisher of the problem for correction.
EVALUATORS' SUGGESTION
The authors must propose two potential reviewers. The editor-in-chief may contact the potential reviewers. The proposed reviewers must not be co-authors; they must not belong to the author's institution; they must not have published with the authors in the last 5 years; and they must have proven expertise in the field of study.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Manuscripts submitted to the Congolese Journal of Science and Technology will undergo peer review. This journal uses a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of the reviewer and the author are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the entire review process. In the event of a disagreement between two reviewers, the journal will consult a third reviewer to break the tie. Any selected reviewer who does not feel qualified to evaluate the research presented in a manuscript, or who knows that it will be impossible to evaluate it quickly, must inform the editor-in-chief and decline to participate in the review process.
