Upgrading the Office National de Transport SA (ONATRA SA) to increase its contribution to Congolese GDP
Main Article Content
Abstract
ONATRA SA's ability to adapt to the demands of globalization should be demonstrated by a transformation of its business
model, with the development of financial, river and lake transport services to compensate for the decline in income from the
river transport business in DR-Congo, which is not the case. To this end, as a researcher, we recommend that the managerial
deficits in this public enterprise be remedied. To ensure that ONATRA SA's goals are met, and as the reform would require,
the dynamic microenvironment of this company on the verge of bankruptcy and the opening up of its capital would have to be
mastered. The latter would enable ONATRA SA to withstand an unfavorable economic climate, consolidate its financial
structure, perpetuate its services, be competitive and create jobs to combat selective poverty.
