Importance of vibration analysis on the preventive maintenance of planetary gearboxes in a cement plant: “case of the Lukala cement plant in the Kongo Central province in the D R. Congo »
Main Article Content
Abstract
Planetary gearboxes are essential for reducing the rotational speed of electric motors to a suitable level for cement production equipment, such as grinders and kilns. By integrating a preventative maintenance strategy for these reducers, the cement plant can minimize unplanned downtime, optimize performance and extend the useful life of the equipment. This involves regular inspections, replacing worn parts before they fail, and properly lubricating components to ensure optimal operation. By investing in effective preventative maintenance, cement plants can save money in the long term by avoiding high costs associated with emergency repairs and production interruptions. The impact of a planetary gearbox in a cement plant therefore becomes significant.
